About OIC Integration

A cloud-based integration tool is OIC-Oracle Cloud Integration. It enables seamless integration of on-premises applications with Oracle Cloud (SaaS) or other cloud apps (such as Workday, Salesforce, etc.). OIC combines all the capabilities of Application Integration, Process Automation, Visual Application Building, and Integration Analytics into a single unified cloud service, just like any other integration product on the market (such as Dell Boomi). Oracle Integration Cloud now enables customers to service all of their end-to-end integration needs in one cohesive platform, bringing real-time and batch-based integration, structured and unstructured processes, case management, stream analytics, and integration insight. This enables all users to build and deliver the capabilities required to realise true Digital Business Transformations.

The next step in Oracle’s cloud integration capabilities, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), has been unveiled by the company. OIC uses ADAPTERS to establish connections with the end points. End Points are the entities that serve as the source and destination of data exchange. OIC may change and map data between two distinct entities; adapters link to these entities. Think of OIC as a pipe. In OIC, data is read, mapped, converted, orchestrated, and sent from the source to the destination again via connection adapters with the normal fault handling (local and global) provided.
